I have been a graphic designer for over 25 years in the Chicago area. Driven by beautiful and thoughtful design, I wake up each morning, thankful for my day and the gift of creativity. I fill my pastime with drawing, wood working, taking photos, designing my dream house, and cooking.
Wanting to be an architect, I started my studies at Southern Illinois University School of Architecture. After some self-revelation, I decided to switched gears. I attended and graduated from Columbia College Chicago with a Bachelors of Arts in Graphic Design. I have received additional training at Computer Training Source Inc., specializing in Web Design and Web Development.
I am available for freelance work. My extensive experience has granted me a wealth of knowledge in many areas of design. I look forward to sharing my talents to inspire those I come in contact with.
As a seasoned designer, I have a robust background and can design a wide variety of materials, including logos and identifiers, brochures, briefs, reports, marketing collateral, conference and presentation materials, large-format display graphics, e-mail blasts, and infographics for both print and online use.
I assess client's needs and ensure that timelines, budgets, and quality are met and that all aspects of projects follow their high standards. I also work directly with vendors and approve print products and production schedules.
Backed with an extensive design and software knowledge, including the Adobe Creative Suite and the Microsoft Office suite, on both Mac and Windows platforms. Also know scripting languages, hypertext markup language, and cascading style sheets.
My creative and administrative background is anchored in years of successful work on multiple projects at once—and meeting tight deadlines on all of them. I can complete projects—from concept to final delivery—with limited time and resources, all while reaching editorial and marketing objectives. I enjoy facing challenges and developing creative solutions for them.
